The murder of Dr. Tiller showed a lack of faith in God's power, it showed despair, and it showed hatred. It also shows that when you call people Nazi murderers you shouldn't be surprised that someone connects the dots and resorts to what you do with Nazi murderers. |

That doctor was indeed a mass murderer. However, being pro-life means we respect life as a gift from God, whether we like how that life is used or not. Even Nazi murderers get due process from true authority.

I think a man who tortured and murdered 60,000 children is nothing but a mass murerer who is deserving of our condemnation. If you can't condemn genocide,
you are a part of it.
I have to wonder where your posts on each child that was horribly murdered by this madman. Every day that he murdered seven or eight or ten or fifty children, your voice was silent. The day someone kills him, you are all so grief stricken. Anyway, I am glad he is gone from this earth. The children are safer today and I am certain, in that we can all rejoice!!! |

No, with our current administration, I fear this will be a springboard for legislation by which more children will die.

to the suspect in this case. Why are you using the term hero Marti? I am simply happy that he will no longer be able to impose a death sentence on defenseless
little children. I rejoice that those he would have murdered will be safe from the evil he wanted to do to them.
Marti, because members of the Church did little or nothing there have been 40,000,000 children put to death. That number will remain the same or worse only if good people do nothing in the face of evil not if they fight it. Courage, Marti, Courage! |

You have made the murderer out to be a hero by your praise of him. To celebrate the taking of life -- any life is an affront. To rejoice in murder is wrong
even if the victim was a mass murderer.
God calls us to respect the sanctity of life -- all life -- not just that life which we find worthy or acceptable.

I didn't praise anyone. I don't have any idea who the suspect is, where he is from, how old he is or what religion he is. I only know he is a male. I
think you are guilty of rash judgment.
I said, I rejoice that the children Tiller would have murdered are now safe. Are you sad that they are now safe, Marti? I can't even contain my joy that they are not having their brains sucked out of their heads today or tomorrow or the next day! It is wonderful! God also calls us to defend the defenseless with our own lives. |

You will not use this board to further an agenda which villifies the pro-life community. Murderers -- Nazi or otherwise -- are entitled to the due process of law. Only the state has the authority to impose and carry out capital punishment. The man who killed Dr. Tiller is a murderer.

First, I am more than willing to reimpose the illegality of abortion as a matter of law with agreed upon exceptions. As a precondition the reimposition of this law must be preceeded by the agreement that abortion on demand is wrong by a significant majority of citizens. This takes evangelization before poltical rhetoric The other troubling implication from your statement, and feel free to clarify, is there is no difference between killing abortionists and unborn children. It is that quid pro quo that leads folks to justify actions like gunning down Dr. Tiller. As long as we villify pro choice advocates as Nazi killers and make insane comparisons between abortion and the Holocaust as if words have no meaning the there will be people who feel righteous in murdering abortion providers. We know what the effects of continualy demonizing people lead to so why are we surprised when the likes of Isabelle feel that killing abortionists is doing God's work?

I do have an agenda to get us to recognize that we cannot continue to bandy phrases about such as "baby killers" and comparisons of abortion with the Nazi Holocaust and then express shock that some deranged individual puts meaning to those words. I have said on numerous occaisions that by comparing abortion to the Holocaust we confuse issues, causes and solutions. The murder of Dr. Tiller is evidence of the correctness of that position. |

FIrst, Isabelle has had her posting privileges suspended and cannot defend herself so I will ask that she not be bandied about.
I will say again that if terming someone a Nazi gets people to put that person outside of the law and due process, then the problem is not with the pro-life movement but with this atttitude that we can make up our own morality. People who perform abortions are indeed murdering a child and there are no exceptions. That cannot be stated any other way. The trouble we encounte ris an offshoot of saving whales and baby seals. We have come to empathize with the one who appears helpless. THe pro-life community taking on the helpless babies, the pro-choice community taking on the poor helpless mother. THe truth being that the focus of the CHurch is not on the child but on the mother. The child is entrusted to God's mercy and certainly is a concern that said child should not be killed, however the spiritual victim is the mother whose immortal soul is in danger of damnation and the doctors and the nurses for the same reason. These are the people the CHurch is concerned with. To kill murderers without repentance and conversion is to take not only their mortal life but to deny them the opportunity to repent and have eternal life with Christ.
