I admit, odd times for me... my grandma's old Church in WI was closed but that was because of Weakland and yeah, I remember him... was confirmed by him. I need to find where the Exodus of people are moving to and see if I can tag a ride. Got to go, at the library, 10 mins left, can't extend anymore. Applied a few places and off I go. God bless

still stands at the moment, I still want to pray I won't see it torn down,. that's silly though isn't it? No replies to jobs yet, drop off another application, keep going. I'm thinking now, maybe time to somehow leave NY State but got a long way to go if that would ever be possible.

I knew several by the name of Jasiu way back, in real life. 4 job applications off and out today. The steeple for my old Church for now still stands. No x's yet though I assume.... I still pray for a change in this area. I wish I had gotten pictures inside before it was closed. OK, I'm a sentimental goof I guess.

One would hope that if it's presented at a Catholic place like Canisius College, and in Buffalo with its large Polish population, it would be in good taste, but anymore, who knows?

I'm by no means fluent in Polish either. Knew some from my mother and her family, also took a class once and picked up quite a bit when I was in Poland but I've lost a lot of it for lack of use. I can get with Polish people though and after we get to talking a while, it starts coming back.
My father's people were Slovak but he didn't pass on the language. Actually it's very similar to Polish and I found in Slovakia, although I spoke almost no Slovak other than...

Trudno..(hard)...OK that makes sense for "tough" or "too bad" but the word I always had from my maternal relatives was "szkoda".

When I was in Austria in 1999, already the kind of cell phones were popular where the person just had a wire around the head--you see these more and more here--and at first I was wondering why all these people were walking the streets having conversations with themselves.

Another 4 weeks tops I hope and if I don't have a job by then hopefully training. After that I'm probably not going to be around. I have no access at home anymore and once workng, time to get to a library will be more limited. Have to keep pressing on, going forward, excelsior (I think that's the right spelling). Now off to settle more confusion from 2003 when I was on med leave. But this is a good thing right? Perserverance. I know this. Pressing on.

I need to let go of the kvetch

What is another reason for not liking cell phones beyond what I heard from Audio Sancto re no cell phones in the confessional (you'll be able to find it I'm sure)... I saw a guy driving a car today blasting his stereo and one hand holding the phone to his ear yelling... he was making a turn but was half in the wrong lane.

People wonder why I carry my cell phones with the batteries removed eh? I don't...
